How to Add an Event (New 2026 Dashboard)
1. Access the Event Creator
Log in to your dashboard.
From the left-hand menu, click Events.
Click the blue + Create Event button in the upper-right corner.
The Create Event page will open, displaying the Featured Image section on the left and the General Informationsection on the right.
2. Add a Featured Image (Optional)
Upload: Click the small image icon to upload an image directly from your computer.
AI Generation: Click the small star icon to generate an image using AI. A window will appear; enter a short description of what you want and click Generate.
3. Set Event Details and Visibility
In the upper-right corner of the General Information section, click the Visibility button (this is labeled Public by default). Choose an option from the dropdown:
Public: The event is visible to everyone and listed on the website.
Unlisted: The event is accessible only via a direct link and is not listed publicly.
Private: The event is hidden from the website and visible only to administrators.
Fill in the core event information:
Event name: Enter the name of the event.
Start date & End date: Click the calendar icon to select your dates.
Start time & End time: Click the clock icon to choose your times.
Note: If the event does not have a specific start or end time, simply check the All Day box on the right side.
4. Set Up a Recurring Event (Optional) If the event repeats, click the Repeats field and select an option from the dropdown menu (e.g., Daily, Work days, Weekly, Monthly).
Custom Recurrence: If you choose Custom, you will use two fields to build your rule:
Use the first field to choose how often it repeats (e.g., once, twice, every 3 times).
Use the second field to choose the repeat pattern (day, week, month, or year).
End Date: Choose when the recurring sequence ends by selecting On (a specific date) or After (a specific number of occurrences).
Tip: Click View dates to see a complete list of all upcoming events in your newly created sequence.
5. Categorize and Describe
Departments: Click the field and select the appropriate department.
Venue: Click the field and choose the venue.
Location: Enter the physical event location, if applicable.
Description: Add details about your event in this field.
Manual: Type your description normally.
AI Assisted: Click Help me write to use the AI tool. Enter a short prompt (like "event details") and choose a tone (e.g., casual or formal). The AI will generate a description that you can then edit.
6. Save or Publish the Event At the bottom of the page, finalize your event by choosing one of these options:
Cancel: Discards all your changes.
Save as draft: Saves the event in your dashboard only (it will not be visible on the website).
Create event: Publishes the event and makes it live on the website.
