  1. Log in to your dashboard.

  2. From the left-hand menu, click Events.

  3. Click the blue + Create Event button in the upper-right corner.

  4. The Create Event page will open, displaying the Featured Image section on the left and the General Informationsection on the right.

3. Set Event Details and Visibility

  1. In the upper-right corner of the General Information section, click the Visibility button (this is labeled Public by default). Choose an option from the dropdown:

    • Public: The event is visible to everyone and listed on the website.

    • Unlisted: The event is accessible only via a direct link and is not listed publicly.

    • Private: The event is hidden from the website and visible only to administrators.

  2. Fill in the core event information:

    • Event name: Enter the name of the event.

    • Start date & End date: Click the calendar icon to select your dates.

    • Start time & End time: Click the clock icon to choose your times.

    • Note: If the event does not have a specific start or end time, simply check the All Day box on the right side.

4. Set Up a Recurring Event (Optional) If the event repeats, click the Repeats field and select an option from the dropdown menu (e.g., Daily, Work days, Weekly, Monthly).

  • Custom Recurrence: If you choose Custom, you will use two fields to build your rule:

    1. Use the first field to choose how often it repeats (e.g., once, twice, every 3 times).

    2. Use the second field to choose the repeat pattern (day, week, month, or year).

  • End Date: Choose when the recurring sequence ends by selecting On (a specific date) or After (a specific number of occurrences).

  • Tip: Click View dates to see a complete list of all upcoming events in your newly created sequence.

5. Categorize and Describe

  1. Departments: Click the field and select the appropriate department.

  2. Venue: Click the field and choose the venue.

  3. Location: Enter the physical event location, if applicable.

  4. Description: Add details about your event in this field.

    • Manual: Type your description normally.

    • AI Assisted: Click Help me write to use the AI tool. Enter a short prompt (like "event details") and choose a tone (e.g., casual or formal). The AI will generate a description that you can then edit.

6. Save or Publish the Event At the bottom of the page, finalize your event by choosing one of these options:

  • Cancel: Discards all your changes.

  • Save as draft: Saves the event in your dashboard only (it will not be visible on the website).

  • Create event: Publishes the event and makes it live on the website.
