Events is where you post things happening in your town — a farmers market, a road closure notice, a holiday closure, a community festival. Once you publish an event, it can show up in three places:
Your municipality's website, wherever your Calendar is placed on a page.
A department's page in the Dashboard, which shows that department's upcoming events.
Resident chat answers, if your town has Vanteve enabled — residents can ask "what's happening this weekend" and get a real answer with a link back to the event.
Anyone with staff access to the Dashboard can create and publish an event — there's no approval step to wait on. What you fill in and how it behaves is covered in the articles below:
